Job Title: Employment Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Employment Support Specialist to join our team at Workforce Development Center Inc.

Job Summary:

The Employment Support Specialist will provide individualized vocational training to adults with varying degrees of learning, behavioral, emotional, and developmental disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing all aspects of job site placements and assisting individuals in mastering good work habits and skills necessary to succeed on the job.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of employment plans for individuals
  • Develop daily work schedules and monitor quality and completion
  • Circulate in individuals' work areas and maintain detailed records of progress
  • Model and teach job tasks to individuals and monitor quality control
  • Assist individuals in learning independent living skills related to work
  • Handle job/training site complaints and problems in consultation with the field supervisor
  • Participate in transporting and/or accompanying individuals on public transportation
  • Ensure individuals' safety and develop working knowledge of job/training site company policies
Requirements:
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of experience teaching/coaching/instructing individuals with developmental, learning, emotional or physical disabilities
  • Valid Driver's License and Vehicle Insurance
  • Reliable vehicle in good working condition
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and adapt to schedule changes
  • Pass fingerprint background clearance
  • Health Screening (Physical) dated within 1 year from hire date
  • Negative TB test screening dated within 1 year from hire date
  • Current CPR and First Aid training
