Position Summary

The Manufacturing Technician at ASI is responsible for hands-on electro-mechanical assembly and light fabrication tasks associated with the production and installation of simulation and training devices. This role focuses on mechanical fabrication, requiring a diverse skill set to contribute effectively to the team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Execute tasks as per engineering drawings and instructions documented on Job Tickets and Work Instructions.
  2. Interpret and understand mechanical fabrication and assembly engineering drawings.
  3. Utilize hand tools and fabrication machinery for light fabrication tasks.
  4. Conduct bench sub-assembly and upper-level device assembly using appropriate tools and equipment.
Qualifications

Experience Levels:

  • Entry Level: 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Mid Level: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Senior Level: 5+ years of relevant experience.

Candidates should have experience in producing electrical assemblies or mechanical fabrications, preferably in a military production context. Certification in specialty assembly practices such as soldering or welding is preferred, or candidates should be willing to obtain necessary certifications.

Required Skills

Manufacturing Technicians should possess:

  • Knowledge of reading electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Experience with basic mechanical hand tools and fabrication techniques.
Education

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Work Environment
