POSITION OVERVIEW
In this role, you will work under minimal supervision to execute a range of routine tasks associated with mechanical assembly line production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble components utilizing visual aids, as well as verbal and/or written instructions.
- Prepare parts for final assembly and box build.
- Ensure correct hardware sequence during assembly.
- Utilize tools such as rivet guns, electric screwdrivers, small hand tools, and air compressor tools for assembly tasks.
- Document any issues that arise during the assembly process.
- Verify part numbers and item descriptions using the Bill of Material (BOM) as necessary.
- Perform confirmation duties using SAP.
- Operate basic equipment including swage, wire preparation tools, contact systems, preset dies, and cut-off machines.
- May be required to manually perform board masking.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Adhere to all procedures outlined in the company security policy.
- May undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Proficient in reading and communicating in English, with the ability to understand verbal and/or written instructions and documentation.
- Familiarity with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) principles.
- Understanding of safety protocols.
- Ability to identify hardware components.
- Completion of IPC-A-610 training is preferred.
- Knowledge of item descriptions on the Bill of Material (BOM).
- Competence in using rivet guns, electric screwdrivers, small hand tools, and air compressor tools.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- One to three years of relevant experience in a similar field.
- Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience may be considered.
