Job Summary

As an Academic Program Coordinator at InsideHigherEd, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of academic programs that drive student success and institutional growth. This position requires a strong understanding of academic operations, program management, and instructional design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement academic programs that meet the needs of students and instructors
  • Oversee the daily operation and management of assigned programs and activities
  • Ensure quality programs are delivered, meeting students and instructor needs, and redesign courses as needed
  • Screen, select, evaluate, and provide feedback to instructors for each course offering
  • Serve as primary liaison with internal and external clients on all matters relating to program activities
  • Collaborate and approve the development of quarterly and annual marketing plans; identify target markets, determine promotional mix and marketing collateral
  • Select offsite locations for externships, apprenticeships, and alternate course delivery locations
  • Forecast enrollment projections, revenue, and expenses for each fiscal year and evaluate progress toward financial goals
  • Facilitate open house sessions, webinars, public speaking engagements, promotional events, etc. to produce enrollments
  • Coordinate staff, instructors, and student assistants as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
  • Five (5) years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field of Instructional Design experience
  • Adult Education experience
  • Program Management experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Able to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
  • Able to organize resources and establish priorities
  • Participates in program-related associations, memberships, and educational partnerships
  • Able to deal with multiple tasks or projects at one-time meeting assigned deadlines
