Program Overview

Kennesaw State University is seeking a highly skilled Academic Program Specialist to coordinate the operational planning, establishment, execution, and evaluation of a multifaceted program and/or project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the development, implementation, and execution of professional certificate programs, special projects, and other initiatives.
  • Oversee and administer the daily operation and management of the assigned programs and activities.
  • Ensure quality programs are delivered, meeting students and instructor needs, and redesign courses as needed.
  • Screens, selects, evaluates, and provides feedback to instructors for each course offering.
  • Serves as primary liaison with internal and external clients on all matters relating to program activities.
  • Collaborates and approves the development of quarterly and annual marketing plans; identifies target markets, determines promotional mix and marketing collateral.
  • Selects offsite locations for externships, apprenticeships, and alternate course delivery locations.
  • Forecasts enrollment projections, revenue, and expenses for each fiscal year and evaluates progress toward financial goals.
  • Facilitates open house sessions, webinars, public speaking engagements, promotional events, etc. to produce enrollments.
  • Coordinates staff, instructors, and student assistants as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field.
  • Five (5) years of related experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field of Instructional Design experience, Adult Education experience, and Program Management experience.
