Chief Information Officer

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is a key leadership position responsible for driving the strategic direction of enterprise-wide information systems. This role oversees the implementation and maintenance of ERP systems, business systems, equipment, and software programs to ensure maximum uptime and stability of systems and networks. The CIO will lead the development of a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives and drives integration with global information technology systems and programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish an enterprise information technology strategy that sets a vision and embraces the diversity of the different business unit divisions.
Create and implement an agile environment conducive and responsive to the changing business needs.
Lead ERP implementations and integrations across all divisions, ensuring that project milestones are defined and achieved, deliverables attained, system configurations support business requirements, and key stakeholders are communicated with and informed.
Manage infrastructure, software, and hardware to ensure consistency in functionality for users.
Drive cyber security applications, processes, and controls to ensure that systems, networks, programs, devices, and data are secure.
Serve as a liaison in global technology enhancement initiatives that provide better solutions for our customers.
Establish a robust and stable IT project management organization
Oversee project management initiatives and personnel for information technology implementations, integrations, and upgrades.
Design reports, metrics, and communication tools that provide status and update information to key stakeholders, executives, and other personnel as needed.
Work to evaluate and integrate independent/one-off systems into the overarching enterprise systems to provide greater synergies across divisions.
Participate in M&A activities as required and oversee the integration of newly acquired business entities.
Stay abreast of technological advances in the field and be able to identify areas of use in the organization.
Manage, coach, and develop information technology personnel responsible for maintaining the umbrella platforms across the business enterprise, to ensure a high level of customer service and professional knowledge.
Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the operational organization.
Design and execute a sound HR strategy to ensure the long term stability of the IT organization and support the growth of the overall business
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field.
Master's degree preferred.
Minimum 15 years of experience in information technology related field, and demonstrated experience implementing large-scale projects.
Project management experience with broad scope projects spanning across multiple business units, PMP certification preferred.
Knowledge of SAP system, functionality, and life-cycle, a plus
Experience in designing architecture, aligning systems, and implementing a robust enterprise-wide network
Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, infrastructure design, Windows Operating Systems, and client/server environment
Experience with process definition, process improvement, and strategic planning
Experience in the Wuerth Group IT environment, a plus
Experience in Corporate IT strategy and operations, a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
Fluency in German, a plus
High standard of professionalism and ethics
Preferred style of teamwork, collaboration, and humility
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data and explain to non-technical end users
Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with various levels of the organization
Ability to lead through influence, persuade diverse audiences, and engage and motivate others

Creative thinker with strong analytical skills and data-driven approach
Ability to analyze complex business situations and develop creative and sound business solutions.
Ability to prioritize quickly, drive and manage multiple projects and activities to achieve deadlines, and maintain budgets

Possess a high level of attention to detail with strong organizational and follow-up skills
Strong management aptitude and effective interpersonal skills
Travel estimated at 25% - 50%
Compensation:
Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and, in some instances, may include education, skills, work experience and certifications. You may also be eligible to participate in an annual incentive bonus. An incentive bonus, if any, depends on various factors such as organizational performance.
