Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Acquire necessary ingredients and packaging for production while adhering to financial constraints and maintaining quality benchmarks.
2. Cultivate and sustain relationships with suppliers, ensuring effective communication and prompt deliveries.
3. Collaborate closely with scheduling, plant operations, and finance teams to synchronize procurement strategies with production timelines and budgetary objectives.
4. Oversee and manage inventory levels to avert shortages and excess stock, optimizing inventory management and minimizing holding costs.5. Work with cross-functional teams to forecast material requirements, communicate effectively, and align procurement efforts with production needs, product modifications, and new item introductions.
6. Address delivery and invoicing discrepancies with suppliers.7. Conduct regular inventory assessments for stock items.
8. Ensure accurate pricing and delivery timelines are maintained in the ERP/MRP system.
9. Perform additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in procurement, ideally within the food or consumer packaged goods sector
High School diploma or equivalent
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
