Join Klondike Cheese Company as a Packaging Specialist and be part of our team that produces high-quality cheese products. As a Packaging Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Load cheese products into packaging equipment and verify that they meet specifications.
- Clean and sanitize equipment, conveyors, and packaging areas to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Inspect and verify the accuracy of product labels and packaging materials.
- Sort, weigh, and inspect products to ensure that they meet quality and weight specifications.
- Operate packaging equipment to fill bags or containers with crumbled product.
- Remove finished packaged items from machines and separate rejected items.
- Inspect and remove defective products and packaging materials.
- Palletize packaged product and move pallets of cheese and totes in and out of production areas.
- Cheese/food industry experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
- A good attendance record is required.
- Candidate must be a team player.
- Employees are required to stand the duration of the shift, with frequent and repetitive bending, stooping, turning, reaching, grasping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
