Job Summary

As a Route Sales Representative at Smitty's Service Inc, you will be the face of our brand, delivering exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with our valued customers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure timely deliveries and provide support to our customers on assigned routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver products and provide service support to customers on assigned routes.
  • Achieve sales targets and grow our client base by generating leads for new business.
  • Understand pricing and products to educate customers on primary and promotional products.
  • Treat customers with respect and courtesy to develop a longstanding relationship.
  • Communicate territory trends to management to protect and expand our customer base.
  • Accurately process customer transactions, including payments, invoices, and inventory.
  • Provide waffle iron maintenance at customer facilities in accordance with company policy.
  • Adhere to company-established routing schedules.
  • Work with customers to resolve any complaints and escalate complex issues to management.
  • Manage inventory, including proper rotation of product and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
  • Comply with the Fleet Safety Program, traffic laws, and all Department of Transportation and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Drivers' License.
  • DOT Certification Required (minimum 21-years of age, pass DOT physical).
  • Acceptable driving, criminal, and credit records.

Preferred Skills
  • Ability to operate a handheld device for processing orders.
  • Well-spoken and persuasive at making a sales pitch.
  • Independent spirit and able to work without direct supervision.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Eye for detail and ensure the quality of products sold.
