Job Title: Head Start Coach and Education Facilitator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Start Coach and Education Facilitator to join our team at Elite School Staffing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for mentoring and coaching teachers in the areas of early childhood education, curriculum development, and assessment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Model lessons in classrooms on a daily/weekly basis to support teacher development and improve student outcomes.
  • Support the instructional development of all teachers in understanding the HighScope curriculum and varied assessments, the Framework for Teaching, and data analysis.
  • Build strong relationships with teachers, administrators, and other coaches to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide direction and coordination for how the curriculum is taught consistent with program initiatives and recognized best instructional practices.
  • Assist teachers with resources, materials, tools, and information to support classroom instruction and planning, including new resources.
  • Support teachers in using data to improve instruction on all levels and assist with planning and scaffolding based on the individual developmental needs of each child.
  • Develop coaching plans for teachers to ensure student improvement and ensure program compliance with Head Start Performance Standards related to education, health, oral health, nutrition, disabilities, and mental health services.
  • Organize workshops and training sessions for parents and staff in education, health, mental health, nutrition, and disabilities.
  • Ensure program compliance with assessments, interventions, and treatment plans in education, health, mental health, nutrition, dental, and disabilities.
  • Ensure emergency preparedness for Head Start and other programs and follow all Board of Education and Policy Council policies, state laws, and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Masters in Early Childhood Education.
  • PQA reliable assessor.
  • Formal training in curriculum, screening, and assessment tools (HighScope, ASQ, COR).
  • HighScope Certified preferred.
