Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Elite School Staffing. As a Head Start Teacher, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe, nurturing, and high-quality educational environment for program children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish a Safe and Healthy Learning Environment: Set up and maintain a safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of young children.
  • Develop and Implement Lesson Plans: Create and execute daily lesson plans based on individual children's needs that include all aspects of the High/Scope daily routine.
  • Document and Communicate Children's Progress: Maintain program documentation on children and families, including progress reports and communication with parents.
  • Support Parent Involvement: Encourage and support parent involvement through parent-teacher conferences, home visits, and other activities that promote a strong partnership between home and school.
  • Administer and Score Developmental Assessments: Administer, score, and communicate the results of developmental assessments to parents and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work effectively as part of a team environment to achieve program goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or commitment to obtain CDA credential within one year of hire. Experience working with young children is preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to apply current research and theoretical knowledge in early childhood education, establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, and communicate clearly and concisely in oral and written form.
