Position Overview: We are actively seeking a Director to enhance our high-performing SOX team. This role offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for both remote and onsite engagement, while providing exceptional service to our valued clients. The position involves local travel within the designated area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to clients on intricate SOX matters, guiding them from initial implementation through ongoing compliance.
  • Lead compliance teams for established public companies and develop SOX compliance frameworks for pre-IPO and emerging organizations.
  • Offer strategic advice on various aspects, including risk assessment, entity-level controls, fraud evaluation, scope planning, process documentation, management testing, deficiency assessments, and remediation.
  • Utilize multidisciplinary expertise to provide dynamic leadership on strategic advisory projects for clients in financial services and related sectors.
  • Ensure project outcomes exceed client expectations, reinforcing CNM's reputation as a trusted advisor.
  • Facilitate effective team dynamics and provide conflict resolution resources as necessary.
  • Guide project teams and clients in developing process enhancements and remediation strategies to address identified deficiencies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Management, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 9 years of experience in financial services, particularly within public accounting, with progressive responsibilities.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • CIA and/or CISA certifications are advantageous.
  • Experience in public accounting or advisory roles with a focus on risk and compliance consulting related to SOX.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, project management, and client relationship skills developed in diverse professional settings.
  • Strong communication abilities, capable of conveying complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Proven experience in simplifying intricate issues to guide clients and provide clarity.
  • A passion for mentoring and developing team members to enhance core competencies in response to evolving client and regulatory demands.
  • Knowledge of best practices for identifying potential issues and fostering opportunities for learning and development.
  • Experience in high-pressure environments, adept at managing resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing timelines, deadlines, and project scopes.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Standard 40-hour work week.
