Position Overview:
The IT SOX Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) within the IT domain. This position involves collaboration with various stakeholders to uphold the integrity of IT controls and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with technology teams, internal audit, and external auditors to outline the scope of SOX IT assessments.
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive IT SOX testing schedule, ensuring timely delivery of testing documentation and other essential outputs.
- Work closely with technology teams to specify IT control evidence requirements, ensuring clarity and appropriateness for external audit needs.
- Maintain and regularly update a Risk and Control Matrix (RCM).
- Evaluate potential risks and control weaknesses to minimize the occurrence of control deficiencies.
- Assist in testing and assessing the effectiveness of IT controls.
- Collaborate with IT and business units to address and rectify control deficiencies.
- Prepare detailed reports and present findings to management.
- Support communications with Head Office to provide updates on the IT SOX testing program.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required.
- A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
