We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at eTeam Inc. as a contractor of physical security & health and safety. Key Responsibilities- Support Strategic Health and Safety Programs: Collaborate cross-region, cross-team, and cross-functionally to execute on strategic plans and support the vision of our health and safety programs.
- Manage EHS Data and Metrics: Manage data entry of metrics and processes in the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) management system to track and drive progress with compliance and best practices.
- Develop and Review EHS Programs: Develop and review various EHS programs, policies, and training materials in accordance with company policy, local, state, and local guidelines.
- Facilitate EHS Training: Facilitate site-specific Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Training requirements.
- Conduct EHS Risk Assessments: Drive and participate in EHS risk assessments and perform periodic facility audits to identify potential EHS hazards/opportunities.
- Investigate Incidents: Partner with teams in incident investigations to determine root causes and the implementation of corrective actions.
- Perform Data Analysis: Perform routine data/trend analysis, research, and presentations related to EHS performance.
- Support COVID-19 Response: Support compliance of COVID-19 workplace protection measures & response.
- Manage Contractor Safety: Manage contractor safety program deployment.
- Develop Safety Risk Assessments: Develop Safety Risk Assessments (SRAs) to determine site-specific safety requirements such as engineering controls, etc.
- Support Local Safety Committees: Support efforts of local safety committees.
- Participate in Special Projects: Participate in special projects such as emergency response, cost reduction, and various other duties as assigned.
- Passport Required: Will need a passport to travel domestically/internationally.
- 5+ Years of EHS Experience: 5+ years of EHS experience.
- Knowledge of EHS Regulatory Standards: Knowledge and hands-on application of domestic and international EHS regulatory standards, best practices, and guidelines, such as emergency preparedness, injury and illness prevention, contractor management, workers compensation, and ergonomics.
- Strong Program Development Skills: Strong program development and management skills.
- Strong Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to Travel: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
- Soft Skills: Great communicator, also great at training (public speaking), someone who fits well from a culture piece (open-minded and can work with any and all parts of the organization).
- Professionally: Minimum 5 YOE, proven track record in program development (developed not sustained), experience in managing people/programs/risk deduction.
