PHARMACIST

Job Overview

BrightSpring Health Services is in search of a dedicated and skilled Pharmacist to enhance our pharmaceutical care team. As a prominent provider of pharmacy services, we are committed to delivering outstanding healthcare solutions tailored to the needs of various healthcare facilities.

This role offers the chance to refine your pharmaceutical expertise under the mentorship of a licensed pharmacist while ensuring optimal care for our patients in a specialized pharmacy environment. Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday

7:00am - 8:30pm
8 or 10 hour shifts
4 days a week with one weekday off

Weekend requirements include two 5-hour shifts from 7:00am - 12:00pm on both Saturday and Sunday

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess physician medication orders for suitability, dosage, potential interactions, and administration routes. Provide recommendations for therapy adjustments to healthcare providers as necessary.
  • Maintain an accurate patient database that includes current and historical medical information, relevant clinical data, and ongoing medication records.
  • Ensure that necessary laboratory tests for monitoring high-risk conditions are ordered, reviewed, and communicated with the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to offer clinical and technical support as required.
  • Document all interactions with physicians, nursing staff, and patients in the medical records accurately.
  • Implement policies and procedures for the safe procurement, storage, distribution, and disposal of medications and biological products.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory documentation as mandated by federal and state agencies.
  • Notify the Pharmacy Manager of any medication-related errors.
  • Assist facility staff with procedures related to the safe handling of medications.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy; Pharm D is preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in long-term care settings.
  • Licenses/Certifications as required by regulatory standards.
  • Detail-oriented, goal-driven, and a collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
