Job Summary

Cedar Fair Entertainment Company is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team as a Vehicle Maintenance Specialist. This is a full-time, year-round position that requires flexibility in hours and days worked.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections for preventative maintenance and complete all services to repair and maintain light duty vehicles.
  • Ability to repair or replace tires, including tires on our bus fleet.
  • Ability to diagnose problems, including electrical.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Must be flexible in hours and days worked.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, climb, kneel, reach, crawl, push, pull, and twist the majority of the day.
  • Must be able to carry out duties in required attire.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds without assistance and up to 150 pounds with assistance.
  • Must be able to use hand tools and use typical maintenance equipment.
  • Must provide typical repair tools.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid State Commercial Driver's License and provide proof of personal vehicle insurance.
  • Diesel skills required.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, picking, pinching, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion of the hands, wrists, and/or fingers.
  • Very heavy work.
  • Exposure to environmental conditions such as rain, direct/indirect sun, and heat for extended periods of time.
  • Subject to both environmental conditions.
  • Subject to extreme cold and heat.
  • Subject to sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
  • Subject to hazards.
  • Subject to atmospheric conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin.
