About the Role

Cleveland Clinic is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our Hospital Operations and Strategy team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to our medical operations, including Center for Connected Care and Medical Care at Home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute functional and departmental strategy to achieve key business objectives.
  • Lead multiple budgets and departments with significant financial and strategic impact.
  • Accountable for fiscal planning, budgeting, employee engagement and relations business operations, to include revenues, reimbursements, inventory management and performance improvement.
  • Responsible for setting the vision, strategic direction and growth goals for the team.
  • Leads teams to ensure attainment of strategic objectives and the delivery of quality, economical, services and other related lines of business.
  • Develops key partnerships and promotes a culture of collaboration to enable effective matrix-management and ensuring optimal performance of strategic objectives.
  • Accountable for creating an effective environment where caregivers can realize their full potential to meet clinical and business challenges.
  • Responsible for the development of a strong leadership team to manage operations.
  • Coaches, mentors, and provides ongoing performance feedback to assigned employees.
  • Responsible for overseeing the fiscal planning, budgeting, and related financial functions.
  • Drives process improvement opportunities across service lines and partners to translate into realized efficiencies.
  • Monitors national and international trends and forecasts to develop priorities aimed towards growth objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or related field required.
  • Master's Degree preferred and may offset for years of experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years professional and functionally relevant experience with 5 years of demonstrated management experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience leading an Institute or similar organization, which includes physician practice management, hospital operations, multiple levels of management, budgetary responsibilities, and achievement of corporate revenue and growth objectives by providing strategic direction.
  • Experience coaching multiple levels of leaders in a matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated track record of quickly establishing trusting and credible relationships with physicians, clinical, administrative, and community stakeholders.
Physical Requirements

Requires excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational, negotiation, collaboration and time management skills.

Requires the ability to sit and be stationary for prolonged periods of time, normal or corrected vision and manual dexterity sufficient to perform work on a personal computer.
