As a Safety and Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in this mission, ensuring a secure environment for all. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively monitoring and responding to potential security incidents.
  • Managing all security-related occurrences and hazards on the premises.
  • Staying informed of and adhering to policies regarding alarms and emergency preparedness.
  • Facilitating drills and simulations to ensure readiness.
  • Providing assistance and information to promote safety for staff and visitors.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.

Certifications: Completion of the Ohio Peace Officer Training Council's (OPOTC) Private Security Training Course (minimum 140 hours) is necessary. A valid Ohio driver's license is also required.

Experience: A minimum of one year of relevant experience in criminal justice, private, public, or military security, or related law enforcement is preferred. Completion of the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy may substitute for this experience.

Physical Requirements: The role demands full body motion, physical strength, and stamina to effectively respond to emergencies. Extensive walking and standing for prolonged periods are required, along with good eye/hand coordination.

Personal Protective Equipment: Adherence to standard precautions using personal protective equipment is mandatory.
