Job Summary

Aegis Sciences Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Biological Specimen Collector to join our team. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting biological specimens at client sites for the purpose of conducting scientific testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sample Collection: Maintain the integrity of the collection process, ensuring that samples are properly labeled, sealed, and stored.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for reporting purposes, including sample requisitions and client information.
  • Client Communication: Foster open communication between clients and Aegis Sales Management, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable safety requirements, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and complete required Compliance Training.
  • Supply Management: Order supplies and manage budget with Regional Sales Manager and Area Sales Manager as required.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify insurance information through Passport as needed.
  • Payment Collection: Request and collect payments from patients as applicable.
  • Team Collaboration: Maintain regular communication with Regional Sales Manager and Area Sales Manager, and participate in process improvements to achieve departmental and company goals.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Completion of a phlebotomy training program or a minimum of three (3) years of experience in blood collection required.
  • Certification: Must meet state requirements for phlebotomy certification (where required).
  • Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on quality and extreme confidentiality, excellent customer service skills, and basic computer knowledge.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position, working up to 27.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00am-3:00pm.
