Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Deicer to join our team at Integrated Deicing Services, LLC. As an Aircraft Deicer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of deicing and anti-icing services to our carrier customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect aircraft for ice and frozen contamination after deicing has been performed
  • Spray deicing fluid onto aircraft using specialized equipment
  • Ensure a safe environment during de/anti-icing operations and follow all company policies and procedures
  • Participate in pre-planning for de/anti-ice events, including equipment checks and maintenance
  • Ensure proper shutdown of pads, including paperwork and log books
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Maintain and treat all information as confidential
  • Must be able to read, write, understand, and carry out instructions in English
  • Must be able to verbally direct in English
  • Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives
  • Successful completion of all IDS classroom and OJT de-/anti-icing training
  • Must be able to speak and hear efficiently
  • A valid driver's license is required for this position
  • Successful completion of the airport badging or background check process required for this location
Work Environment

Prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to prevalent weather, dust, dirt, fuel, fumes, and noise, in or around heavy equipment and moving vehicles.

Physical Demands
  • Must be able to squat, stoop, kneel, bend, stretch, crawl, climb ladders, and work at heights in excess of 15 ft. to perform role, repairs, or inspections
  • Must be able to speak, hear efficiently to supplement other senses in maximizing situational awareness in safety-sensitive environments
  • Must be able to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms
  • Vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
