Position Overview
Leidos is seeking an Information Access Specialist to join our team in supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with crafting, refining, and preparing comprehensive written responses that adhere to FAA's established writing protocols and standards. Your responsibilities will also encompass reviewing information requests, calculating or confirming associated fees, and executing thorough record searches.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Composing and refining intricate communications tailored for diverse audiences.
- Evaluating information requests and performing detailed record searches.
- Assembling information packages in response to requests.
- Tracking and ensuring adherence to completion timelines and deadlines.
- Offering editorial assistance and technical writing support to the information access team.
Additional Responsibilities May Include:
- Drafting responses to inquiries from legislative bodies.
- Investigating queries directed to the FAA Hotline.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree accompanied by 2 years of pertinent experience, or a Master's degree with less than 2 years of experience.
- Exceptional writing capabilities and proficiency in managing stringent timelines.
- Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Suitability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven understanding of the National Airspace System.
- Capability to analyze flight data of aircraft.
