Position: Aircraft Parts Inventory Specialist

As an Aircraft Parts Inventory Specialist at GoJet Airlines, you will play a crucial role in managing the materials essential for the upkeep of our fleet. Your responsibilities will encompass the organization of calibrated tools, overseeing shipping and receiving operations, and ensuring timely fulfillment of material requests aligned with operational needs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Mandatory:
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Willingness and capability to operate forklifts and hand trucks for transporting heavy items exceeding 75 pounds.
- Relocation to the Richmond, VA area is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with logistics and materials management.
- Understanding of relevant Dangerous Goods Regulations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaborative relationships across various departments.
- Adept at managing multiple requests in a systematic and prompt manner.
- Awareness of preservation methods and shipping protocols for hazardous materials.
- Physical stamina for repetitive tasks involving lifting and moving heavy items (up to 75 pounds) and standing for prolonged periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently receive, store, issue, and ship materials in a timely fashion.
- Coordinate the distribution of materials to designated locations.
- Maintain precise inventory records with the aid of a computerized tracking system.
- Collaborate with Planning and Programs to assess material availability and scheduling needs.
- Be prepared for varied work schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Execute additional specific tasks as assigned.
- Travel may be required up to 20% of the time.
- This position is integral to our Safety Management System (SMS), necessitating sound risk assessments and decision-making to uphold safety standards.
