Job Summary

Total Aviation Staffing, LLC is seeking a skilled Avionics Installation Specialist to join our team. As an Avionics Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting with the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics systems and components on various aircraft models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the installation of avionics systems and components, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of avionics systems and components, using proper hand tools and specialized equipment.
  • Record all work performed, including OJT for record and development.
  • Accurately order general components and parts, support turn-in and record of removed parts, and support delivery and record of received parts as needed.
  • Prepare various documents for record-keeping purposes, as required by Company policies, FAA Approved Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals, and OEM Aircraft Manufacturer Manuals.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the work order system by completing accurate and timely discrepancies and corrective action statements.
  • Locate and use appropriate technical data per system installation manual requirements and follow verbal instructions to complete assigned installation tasks.
  • Build and develop personal quality avionics installations and support techniques based on OJT experience to improve in proficiency and quality.
  • Support and maintain compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations for federal, OSHA, state, and local regulations.
Requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Positive attitude and good verbal communication skills.
  • FCC license preferred.
  • High school graduate or equivalency degree required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of FARs 43, 91, 135, 145.
  • Four years related avionics installation experience preferred.
