We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Accounts Representative to join our team at Clay County Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare financial services team, you will be responsible for managing private-pay patient accounts, assisting patients and guarantors with payments and financial assistance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and our organization's Code of Conduct.
Key Responsibilities- Manage private-pay patient accounts, including assisting patients and guarantors with payments and financial assistance
- Post patient payments, generate and approve patient billing statements, and communicate with outside collection agencies
- Provide excellent customer service, supporting and upholding our organization's philosophy of customer service
- Exhibit a positive attitude, professional demeanor, and diplomacy when communicating with customers and providing information
- Ensure customer concerns are processed in compliance with our organization's policies, maintaining the highest level of patient and employee rights, including confidentiality of patient information and personnel issues
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or equivalent undergraduate hours preferred
- One year of experience in healthcare financial services, healthcare registration services, or related healthcare experience preferred
- Keyboarding skill or typing skill of at least 30 wpm strongly desired
- Excellent customer service skills
We offer a great benefit package and a minimum of $14.70 per hour, with wage increases based on comparable experience. Post-offer physical, drug screen, and background check required.
