Job Overview:
MTA, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Computer Operations Specialist to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. As a Computer Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, upgrading, configuring, maintaining, and administering the telecommunications network and transmission systems of MTA, Inc.

In this role, you will work under general supervision to perform various tasks including fault identification, analysis, and resolution. You will be working with high-speed fiber optic telecommunications skills and familiarity in ASYNC/TDM, SONET/ATM, DWDM, COE, and Ethernet services. Your strong knowledge of SONET/ATM Network Transport Technology will be essential in managing projects, reviewing bulletins, procedures, drawings, contract specifications, and overseeing the implementation and turn-up of communications systems.

We offer a competitive salary of $64,382-$81,575 for Computer Associate I (Operations) TA and up to $153,137 for Computer Specialist IV (Operations) TA, depending on your experience and qualifications. Key Responsibilities:
  • • Installation, upgrade, configuration, maintenance, and administration of telecommunications network and transmission systems
    • Fault identification, analysis, and resolution
    • Management of projects, review of bulletins, procedures, drawings, contract specifications, and oversight of implementation and turn-up of communications systems

Requirements:
- A certificate from an accredited technical school or a bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Two years of satisfactory full-time computer operations experience in a large-scale networked, multi-tiered, or mainframe computer environment
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, Microsoft Windows, SUN OS, LINUX RED HAT
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and project management skills
