Job Title: Control Plant Operator III

Orion Talent is seeking a highly skilled Control Plant Operator III to join our team at the Energy Center Phoenix at Arizona State University Facilities. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, preventative maintenance, and repair of the Energy Center Phoenix, as well as remote operations of the Energy Center Tucson and Energy Center San Diego Facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Energy Center Phoenix, including monitoring and controlling the plant's systems and equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the plant's electrical and mechanical equipment, including chillers and combustion turbine generators.
  • Identify and report any safety hazards or equipment issues to the Plant Manager.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure the accomplishment of reliability goals and production requirements.
  • Use Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) effectively to accomplish required maintenance in an efficient and organized manner.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of military or industry experience with an educational background in a relevant field, such as power, steam, and/or chilled water equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a similar service environment/role is a must.
  • Possess knowledge of district energy systems, large tonnage chillers, and/or combustion turbine generators.
