Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Maintenance Mechanic III to join our team at Medtronic. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant facilities, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, life safety, fire protection, and security systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Repairs and Maintenance: Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
  • Work with a PM Program: Perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment, using a preventive maintenance program.
  • Perform Work in Maintenance Trades: Perform work in one or more of the maintenance trades: HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine, and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, RODI systems, and welding.
  • Conduct Inspections and Troubleshoot: Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment, and troubleshoot and repair machines and equipment.
  • Use Hand and Power Tools: Use hand and power tools, including blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
  • Work with an FMS Program: Use an FMS (Facilities Management System) program to manage and track maintenance activities.
  • Meet Physical Demands: Climb ladders and lift greater than 50lbs.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years relevant experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: HVAC experience.

Salary ranges for U.S. locations (excluding Puerto Rico) are $55,000 to $82,800 per year.
