Key Responsibilities:
Exceptional customer service skills are essential. Under the guidance of the Contract Services Manager, the Assistant Manager will oversee all custodial and floor maintenance services, both contracted and in-house. Responsibilities include training and supporting Custodial Supervisors, as well as assisting in the development of programs and timelines for custodial and floor maintenance contracts. A valid Florida driver's license and a clean driving record are required.

Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED is required; candidates should have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in custodial, floor maintenance, or a related field, along with three (3) years of supervisory experience managing three (3) or more employees.

Essential Skills:
Proficient knowledge in the operation and upkeep of custodial and floor maintenance equipment, including but not limited to: wringers, buffers, vacuums, burnishers, extractors, and polishers. Familiarity with various floor types and their maintenance, such as VCT, ceramic tile, carpet, concrete, and wood, is crucial. Safe handling of chemicals used in custodial operations is also necessary. The ability to maintain detailed records and files, supervise, motivate, and train staff effectively is required. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interaction with diverse groups throughout the organization. Candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and operate heavy cleaning equipment, as well as utilize a cell phone, computer, and basic office tools.
