Job Title: Assistant Manager Adult Day Program

Community Resource Network of Florida is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Manager to join our Adult Day Program team. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve their highest level of independence.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager will assist the Program Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Adult Day Program, ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all individuals. This includes monitoring and implementing individualized plans, administering medication, and providing administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the health and safety of all individuals, including administering medication and attending support plan meetings.
  • Assist with daily operations, including coordinating custodial crew duties and providing administrative support to the Program Manager.
  • Work as an Instructor when needed, providing individualized support and instruction to individuals.
  • Communicate building maintenance issues and assist in coordinating resolution.
  • Monitor daily classes to ensure they are inclusive, engaging, and interactive.
  • Establish and maintain a supportive and professional relationship with individuals, their families, and circle of supports.
  • Provide individual-specific service in compliance with service descriptions and core assurances.
  • Recognize and report physical and/or emotional changes in an individual's condition to the Program Manager or Director.
  • Assist individuals with meals, personal hygiene, transitioning, or other tasks as needed.
  • Maintain supply inventory and communicate needs to the Program Manager.
  • Ensure documentation and submission of all incident reports in accordance with APD guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a direct care position, preferably working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • 18 years of age.
  • HS diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen.
  • Level II Background screening.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
  • Primary activities are conducted within a well-lit, climate-controlled facility.
  • Occasional community outings may require outdoor travel and potential exposure to unpleasant weather.
  • Ability to bend, stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time and possess the normal range of body motion.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds independently.
  • Must be able to provide personal hygiene assistance to individuals requiring assistance.
  • Periodic exposure to bodily fluids and other pathogens.
