About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SRE to join our iCloud Services organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and scalability of our cloud-based systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and highly available cloud-based systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex technical issues
  • Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure timely issue detection and resolution
  • Work closely with engineering teams to design and implement new features and services
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in software development or production operations in a large-scale environment
  • Experience in a wide variety of technical areas including Linux, Networking, Systems Management, Software Development, and Systems Security
  • SRE Principles - Skills and experience in monitoring, alerting, error budgets, fault analysis, and automation
  • Broad leadership and partnership skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail, allergy to ambiguity, and a firm grip on deadlines
  • Experience in improving the whole lifecycle of global services from inception through deployment, operations, and refinement
  • Experience in managing and scaling distributed systems in a public, private, or hybrid cloud environment
