About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Apple Maps Infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in building capabilities and services across various technologies in a hybrid cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver infrastructure solutions to enable service teams to adapt and manage their services in a scalable, efficient, and optimized manner.
  • Collaborate with engineering, security, and SRE teams to guarantee the secure and efficient operation of services.
  • Drive optimization opportunities in a hybrid cloud environment.
  • Work on capacity planning, configuration management, optimization, and monitoring.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure focused role.
  • Experience supporting internet-facing production services and distributed systems.
  • Experience in managing core infrastructure services like LDAP, Puppet, Repo's etc.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts and experience in a Hybrid cloud environment.
  • Proficient in Golang, Ruby, Python, or other scripting languages.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge in or interest to work on configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet or Ansible.
  • Experience with core infrastructure services like LDAP, DNS, Puppet, Repo, etc.
  • A strong sense of ownership and excellent oral and written communication skills.
