Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Apple Maps Infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining critical infrastructure services in a hybrid cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and efficient infrastructure solutions to support business operations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, security, and SRE teams to ensure secure and efficient operation of services.
  • Drive optimization opportunities in a hybrid cloud environment.
  • Develop and maintain core infrastructure services, including LDAP, Puppet, and Repo.
  • Work on capacity planning, configuration management, optimization, and monitoring.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure focused role.
  • Experience supporting internet-facing production services and distributed systems.
  • Experience in managing core infrastructure services, Linux software build and packaging systems, and cloud infrastructure concepts.
  • Proficient in Golang, Ruby, Python, or other scripting languages.
  • Container services (Docker/Kubernetes), system administration, and CI/CD systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge in configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
  • Experience with core infrastructure services like LDAP, DNS, Puppet, Repo, etc.
  • A strong sense of ownership and excellent oral and written communication skills.
