About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Apple Maps Infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining critical infrastructure services in a hybrid cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and efficient infrastructure solutions to support business operations
  • Collaborate with engineering, security, and SRE teams to ensure secure and efficient operation of services
  • Drive optimization opportunities in a hybrid cloud environment
  • Develop and maintain core infrastructure services, including LDAP, Puppet, and Repo
  • Work on capacity planning, configuration management, optimization, and monitoring
  • Ensure compliance with security and networking concepts
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure focused role
  • Experience supporting internet-facing production services and distributed systems
  • Experience in managing core infrastructure services, including LDAP, Puppet, and Repo
  • Experience in Linux software build and packaging systems, preferably RPMs
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts and experience in a Hybrid cloud environment
  • Proficient in Golang, Ruby, Python, or other scripting languages
  • Container services (Docker/Kubernetes), system administration
  • In-depth knowledge of CI/CD systems and process
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge in or interest to work on configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet or Ansible
  • Experience with core infrastructure services, including LDAP, DNS, Puppet, Repo, etc.
  • A strong sense of ownership and teamwork
  • Vulnerability management in a hybrid cloud environment
  • Datacenter Optimization initiatives

At Apple, we offer a competitive base pay range of $175,800 to $312,200, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
