Surgical ICU Nurse

The Registered Nurse Surgical ICU position at Las Palmas Medical Center offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions, and contributing to a culture of excellence and safety.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans in collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and utilize medical equipment as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure clear understanding of patient needs and care plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices to enhance patient care and safety.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, and post-discharge follow-up.
- RN licensed in the state of Texas or Compact State.
- BCLS certification.
- ACLS certification (6 months from hire for GN's only).
- Preferred experience as RN in Critical Care or Med-Surg/Telemetry.
- Preferred BSN degree.
- Preferred TNCC and CCRN certifications.
