Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Accountant to join our team at Beacon Hill. As a Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for managing daily cash flow, supporting the accounting lead in creating regular reports, and ensuring accurate monthly closing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Manage daily cash flow for operating bank accounts, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Support the accounting lead in creating regular reports, including monthly closing and ad hoc reporting, to ensure accurate financial data.
  • Payroll Processing: Collect paper checks, make weekly manual deposits, and record them in the Great Plains accounting system.
  • Timesheet Calculation: Calculate timesheets for hourly employees and process bi-weekly payroll.
  • Payroll Administration: Prepare ledger entries with earnings and deductions, enter payroll information, and maintain payroll files.
  • Payroll Reporting: Calculate salaries, overtime earnings, and vacation deductions, and issue paychecks in a timely manner.
  • Payroll Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP and all other regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile various accounts for monthly closing.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong Financial Skills: Proficiency in financial management, reporting, and analysis.
  • Payroll Experience: Experience with payroll processing, including timesheet calculation and payroll reporting.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accurate financial data.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with the accounting team and other stakeholders.
