  • Conduct thorough cleaning of patient rooms, nursing stations, administrative offices, clinical areas, waiting rooms, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators, and staircases, ensuring a hygienic and orderly environment.
  • Complete tasks efficiently and within designated timeframes.
  • Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and supplies in line with established procedures.
  • Handle and maintain cleaning equipment properly.
  • Assist visitors with directions as needed.
  • Introduce oneself to patients, families, and visitors consistently.
  • Report any safety hazards promptly.
  • Manage the disposal of waste and hazardous materials in accordance with regulations.
  • Restock supplies as necessary.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols, including Standard Precautions and hand hygiene practices.
  • Maintain quality standards in all job functions.

Regulatory Qualifications:

  • Preferred high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Preferred one to three months of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Proficiency:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Required Skills:

  • Basic computer proficiency.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work in a typical hospital environment with normal/corrected vision and hearing within normal limits.
  • Exposure to chemical, electrical, and mechanical hazards.
  • Operate floor cleaning machines, including buffers, scrubbers, and wet vacuums.
  • Engage in continuous walking and standing, with the ability to lift up to 80 pounds, carry up to 40 pounds, and push/pull up to 250 pounds.
