Job Title: Assistant Nurse Manager for Cardiovascular Operating Room

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Nurse Manager to join our team at ChristianaCare. As a key member of our Cardiovascular Operating Room, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our cardiac program.

About the Role:
  • Assist the Nurse Manager in the overall administrative direction for the clinical practice of nursing and delivery of high-quality and efficient care to all patients.
  • Directly supervise nursing and technical personnel, assessing their proficiency, coordinating daily staffing and scheduling needs, evaluating staff performance, and counseling staff members when performance issues are identified.
  • Participate in all hiring, promotion, salary adjustment, and termination decisions, serving as a role model and demonstrating quality expertise and professional behaviors that support the professional development of staff and the strategic goals of ChristianaCare.
  • Identify and develop strategies to improve the overall knowledge base and integrity of staff, directing, mentoring, and supporting all levels of staff on the floor, and identifying potential future leaders and engaging in succession planning.
  • Analyze administrative and operational functions, implementing appropriate changes and system-wide improvements.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing required; Master's required within 5 years
  • RN required; Operating Room experience required
  • 5 years of appropriate clinical and leadership experience
  • Current Certification required (CNOR certification)
