Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at JTDMH. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personalized Patient Care
    • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
    • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
    • Assist with medication administration and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Healthcare Team
    • Work closely with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
    • Participate in patient care conferences and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
  • Support Patient Safety and Comfort
    • Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients, including maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
    • Assist with patient transfers and mobility as needed.
  • Meet Physical Demands of the Job
    • Be able to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
    • Meet the physical demands of the job, including bending, stooping, and reaching.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Nursing assistant certification or completion of a state testing certificate program preferred.
  • Experience
    • Previous nursing assistant experience preferred.
  • Availability
    • Ability to work every third weekend and half of the major holidays.
