RN Progressive Care Specialist

Corewell Health is seeking a skilled RN Progressive Care Specialist to join our team at Trenton Hospital. As a member of our Progressive Care Unit, you will provide high-quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader, utilizing the framework of the nursing process to incorporate patient-family centered care principles.
Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, utilizing active listening skills and clear, concise language to ensure understanding and empathy.
- Stay current with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; BSN preferred within 5 years.
- Current RN licensure in Michigan required; ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
- 1 year of experience as an RN in the ICU preferred; specialty certification highly recommended within 2 years.
