Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to assist the General Manager in implementing vision and standards to ensure the overall success of the restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of enforcing procedures and protocols, investing in and developing teams, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities- People management, planning, fostering teamwork, giving feedback, customer service, developing budgets, resolving conflict, and verbal communication
- Experience with monthly P&L reporting and management
- Cultivating an environment based on respect, communication, and customer service
- Holding employees accountable and ensuring they follow protocols set forth by the General Manager
- Delegating tasks and inspiring employees to reach their full potential
- Assisting with hiring and staffing, ensuring the right people are in the right positions
- Helping with inventory ordering, cost, waste, and other related tasks
- Negotiating with suppliers for the best pricing possible
- Assisting with invoice entry and COGS analysis
- Working a flexible schedule, including nights and holidays as needed
- Training new staff members and holding them accountable for standards set by the GM
- Maintaining a clean and organized restaurant
- Ensuring customers receive top-notch customer service
- Handling complaints in a professional and courteous manner
- Being able to step into any position when needed, both front-of-house and back-of-house
- Working with the back-of-house team to minimize waste and maintain Par sheets and inventory
