HR Manager (Temp-to-Hire) | $40-50/hour DOE | Onsite

Position Overview:

Career Group is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager for a temp-to-hire role. This position requires a strong HR generalist background with extensive experience in union environments, as well as a proven track record of managing employee relations and HR operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Lead employee relations efforts, including resolving disputes, handling grievances, and fostering positive relationships between employees and management.
  • Oversee union negotiations, including the interpretation and application of collective bargaining agreements.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and performance management initiatives, ensuring the smooth integration of new hires.
  • Drive employee engagement and development programs to foster a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of HR management experience, with a strong generalist background.
  • Proven experience managing union environments and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.

Additional Information:

Candidates must be comfortable working on-site every day. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Our client requires contractors to be vaccinated against Covid-19, with exceptions as required by law.
