Join Our Team as a Clinical Nutrition Specialist

At Providence, we are seeking a dedicated Clinical Nutrition Specialist to enhance our patient care services. This role is integral to our interdisciplinary health care team, focusing on delivering personalized nutrition care aligned with our patients' medical objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Clinical Nutrition Specialist, you will:
1. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive outpatient nutrition services.
2. Employ the Nutrition Care Process and Terminology (NCPT) to evaluate nutritional status and formulate nutrition diagnoses.
3. Conduct nutrition-focused physical assessments and interpret findings to develop tailored nutrition care plans.
4. Deliver medical nutrition therapy and counseling to patients, families, and the community.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Foods and Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a Didactic Program in Dietetics and a Dietetic Internship or Coordinated Program in Dietetics accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- An Oregon Dietitian License within six months of hire.
- National CDR Registered Dietitian status upon hire.
- A minimum of two years of experience in Oncology or Nutrition Support is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master’s Degree in a Dietetics-related field or an expected degree within three months.
- Certification in oncology (CSO) or as a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) within six months of hire.
