About the Position:

This role is for part-time Roving Assistants who will be active on school days, Monday through Friday. Flexibility is crucial as this position requires travel to various locations within the district.

  • Rovers will receive consistent assignments throughout the academic year, working up to 5 hours daily.
  • Daily assignments are communicated via phone calls in the early morning.
  • Shifts generally range from 2 to 5 hours, scheduled between morning and early afternoon.
  • Optional summer work opportunities may be available.

As a Nutrition Assistant, you will be dedicated to providing nutritious and appealing meals that promote wellness among students. You will engage in food preparation and deliver exceptional service, working collaboratively with colleagues across different kitchens. Your assignments will vary, ensuring a dynamic work environment.



Qualifications:

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions efficiently.
  • Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring physical movement.
  • Proficiency in receiving instructions in English both over the phone and on-site.
  • Experience handling cash and making change during service.
  • Willingness to obtain a Multnomah County Food Handler's Certification prior to starting work.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with computerized cash registers.
  • Openness to travel to various schools within the district.

Compensation Overview: $19.47 hourly wage.
