We are seeking a skilled Process Improvement Specialist for the 2nd Shift, based in Berea, Kentucky. This role is crucial in enhancing our manufacturing operations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and identify initiatives for process enhancement within manufacturing, focusing on automation, robotics, and digital systems.
  • Conduct validations of manufacturing processes to ensure they align with engineering specifications.
  • Assess new and existing processes and components for production and assembly, applying DFT guidelines, including capability studies and gauge R&R analysis.
  • Manage the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process to identify root causes and implement corrective actions, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Recommend and justify appropriate process validation tools and gauges to meet engineering standards.
  • Address daily quality challenges stemming from NCRs, line faults, and other sources.
  • Drive warranty cost reduction initiatives through effective problem identification and resolution using quality methodologies.
  • Facilitate teams employing Continuous Improvement (CI) tools such as APQP (FMEA, Control Plans, MSA), GPS, and Six Sigma.
  • Provide support across multiple value streams to enhance various processes.
  • Contribute to the Innovation and Automation Strategy and assist the New Product Introduction (NPI) Team.

Qualifications:

Continuous Improvement Specialist I:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred, or an Associate's degree with 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.

Continuous Improvement Specialist II:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred, or an Associate's degree with 5-7 years of relevant manufacturing experience.

Continuous Improvement Specialist III:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred, or an Associate's degree with 7-10 years of relevant manufacturing experience.


Skills and Abilities:
  • Proven leadership skills to drive continuous improvement and manage processes effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and problem-solving techniques.
  • Analytical skills to resolve issues and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with quality tools such as APQP, Control Plans, FMEA, PPAP, MSA, Six Sigma, and lean manufacturing practices.
