Hyster-Yale Group, Inc. (HYG), a leading manufacturer of industrial lift solutions, is seeking a skilled and motivated Industrial Engineering Specialist I-III to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and provide specifications for equipment, tooling, materials, manufacturing processes, quality inspection documentation, and time standards essential for the accurate and safe production of products.
- Support various projects including capital improvements, new product introductions, and other initiatives.
- Engage in research and development of innovative manufacturing processes, tooling, and machinery, emphasizing automation and ergonomic enhancements.
- Identify and implement processes to eliminate non-value-added activities within manufacturing operations.
- Contribute significantly to the Americas Division Manufacturing Transformation Program.
- Oversee project management and provide technical guidance for major automation investments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Level I
Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or an Associate's degree with 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or equivalent education.
Basic leadership skills to foster continuous improvement, manage processes, and introduce new concepts.
Fundamental understanding of lean manufacturing principles and problem-solving techniques.
Analytical skills to address minor issues and implement lasting corrective measures.
Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills with a proactive approach.
Level II
Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred or an Associate's degree with 5-7 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
7 years of experience in manufacturing or equivalent education.
Intermediate leadership capabilities to drive continuous improvement and manage processes.
Proficient knowledge of lean manufacturing and problem-solving methodologies, with the ability to lead teams in improvement projects.
Strong analytical skills to resolve minor issues and implement effective solutions.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, demonstrating initiative and independent judgment.
Level III
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field preferred, or an Associate's Degree with 7-10 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
Strong leadership skills to promote continuous improvement and manage processes effectively.
Extensive knowledge of lean manufacturing and problem-solving techniques, with the ability to coach teams in improvement initiatives.
Advanced analytical skills to address significant challenges and implement sustainable solutions.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively.
Proactive and organized, with strong time management skills.
