Position Overview

Key ResponsibilitiesFundraising
  • Formulate and implement a robust fundraising strategy that aligns with the foundation's mission and objectives.
  • Identify and engage potential funders, including corporations, foundations, and major donors, through tailored proposals and strategic outreach.
  • Oversee the execution of fundraising campaigns and events, ensuring targets are met.
  • Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective partners and donors, fostering a culture of philanthropy.
Strategic Management
  • Establish organizational goals and strategies, including the development of annual operational plans.
  • Develop partnerships and ensure the sustainability of the foundation's initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team, promoting professional development and collaboration.
  • Ensure alignment of activities with the foundation's strategic plan.
  • Represent the foundation at community events and advocate for its mission.
  • Engage with local officials to promote the foundation's public health initiatives.
  • Enhance the foundation's visibility through effective communication strategies.
Program Oversight
  • Supervise the Program and Research Director to ensure successful program execution.
  • Collaborate to identify partnerships that support program and research goals.
Financial Management
  • Work with the Global Chief of Operations to design and manage the annual budget.
  • Oversee operational coordination and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Manage human resources, including recruitment and staff supervision.
Board Engagement
  • Present strategic and operational plans to the Board for approval.
  • Maintain accountability for achieving organizational goals.
  • Encourage Board member involvement in committees and initiatives.
Qualifications
  • 5 to 7 years of leadership experience in a nonprofit organization.
  • Demonstrated success in major fundraising efforts.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work across time zones as part of a global team.
  • Experience in strategic planning.
  • Knowledge of health and wellness, particularly related to childhood obesity.
  • Familiarity with the nonprofit landscape in the relevant region.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
