Position Overview

CASA & CASA IN ACTION OVERVIEW:

CASA is dedicated to fostering a more equitable society by empowering and enhancing the living conditions of working-class: Black, Latino/a/e, Afro-descendent, Indigenous, and Immigrant Communities. Our vision is anchored in the collective strength of our community, and our inclusive, enduring, member-driven movement fundamentally transforms communities and systems to fulfill the needs, aspirations, and dreams of our members as we pursue justice and complete liberation both locally and in solidarity with others globally. CASA operates alongside CASA in Action, a distinct yet related nonprofit organization recognized under section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code. While both organizations share a unified goal of advocating for immigrants and low-income individuals across various states, they function independently with their own governing boards. Certain employees, including the individual in this role, will divide their time between both organizations without any impact on compensation or benefits.

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:

The Elections Department is responsible for overseeing electoral processes, nonpartisan voter accountability initiatives, and voter registration efforts across our operational states.
