Navy Systems Aftermarket Program Manager

We are looking for a Navy Systems Aftermarket Program Manager to join our dedicated team at Johnson Controls Federal Systems. This role is pivotal in overseeing the execution and success of aftermarket support initiatives, ensuring effective engagement with clients, strategic development, and comprehensive program management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver global technical assistance related to HVAC&R systems on naval vessels.
- Manage full Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities, leading multiple fixed-price contract programs valued up to $30 million.
- Negotiate with government Contracting Officers to finalize agreements on pricing, timelines, and project scope.
- Oversee the resolution of warranty issues associated with Navy equipment, verifying warranty charges and providing customer quotations as necessary.
- Respond to Requests for Quotes (RFQ) from clients, including Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP), for compressor repairs, coordinating pricing and scheduling responses.
- Assign field resources to meet service demands for naval ships worldwide.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance operational practices and drive improvements in program planning and execution.
- Develop innovative solutions to address program challenges, ensuring timely resolution of issues and incorporating lessons learned into future strategies.
- Provide feedback to product design teams regarding serviceability concerns with Navy equipment.
- Coordinate field service support for warranty claims and service requests.
- Prepare and present project status updates for monthly Program Reviews and Estimate at Completion Reviews for all active contracts.
- Work with Finance, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to ensure successful project closure.
- Manage contracts to ensure deliverables are met within budget and on schedule.
- Conduct monthly status meetings with customers regarding equipment repairs under contract.
- Oversee Government Furnished Material (GFM) rebuild activities, including inspections and logging material receipts.
- Adhere to the Company's Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain government security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in program management or related fields.
- Strong initiative and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% to support projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with or supporting the U.S. Navy, NAVSUP, DLA, or Navy programs.
- Familiarity with Deltek products such as GovWin, Costpoint, and ProPricer.
