About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sourcing Manager to join our Supply Chain team at HarbisonWalker International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and qualifying suppliers/products for indirect categories, including MRO, CAPEX, facilities services, and facility mobile equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute global category management strategy to ensure optimal cost, quality, and delivery performance
  • Identify and qualify products for indirect categories of spend, including MRO, Cap Ex, mobile equipment, and facilities services
  • Generate and manage new project and productivity ideas based on strategic analysis and develop new sources of supply to support short-term and long-term business strategy
  • Participate in business planning and performance workshops with key supplier partners to optimize Supplier Relationship Management
  • Lead contract negotiations in conjunction with legal and key strategic suppliers to achieve cost, quality, and delivery targets
  • Generate and manage new project and productivity ideas based on strategic analysis
  • Partner with global peers to generate global supply strategy and extract maximum value
  • Support the HarbisonWalker Business System (HBS) by identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous process improvement as metrics warrant
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Science, or related field
  • Requires computer operation skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Requires strong interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Requires strong analytical skills and the ability to assemble and quickly analyze data
  • Requires knowledge of E Sourcing, contract writing, and project management
  • Requires strong supplier negotiation skills
  • Requires strong strategic thinking and business problem-solving skills
  • Requires experience in quantitative analytics
  • Requires strength in delegation
  • Requires strong industry-specific knowledge and the ability to manage supplier relationships
  • CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) Certification Preferred
  • Requires a track record of delivering high-impact results and four (4) – six (6) years of professional experience with commodities purchasing, including high-level negotiation experience within manufacturing, writing contracts, and managing categories with a minimum of $50 million annual spend
