Role Overview
In the capacity of an IT Support Specialist, you will be instrumental in:

  • Utilizing technology to meet business requirements and limitations.
  • Assisting personnel in optimizing the use of computing technology and enhancing the efficiency of computer resources.
  • Combining extensive IT technical knowledge with a strong commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Participating in organization-wide IT initiatives and projects.
  • Diagnosing hardware, software, and user-related issues.
  • Providing advanced troubleshooting for complex IT challenges.
  • Offering support for software applications and conducting desk-side training for enterprise applications as needed.
  • Coordinating hardware and software requests through the designated requisition system.
  • Supporting the IT Support team in managing the inventory of desktops, laptops, printers, and other personal hardware assets.
  • Assisting with software inventory management as required.
  • Facilitating local office communication regarding technical support topics and issues.
  • Understanding client business needs and aligning technology solutions to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Collaborating with Systems Administrators on assigned IT infrastructure processes and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with MicroStation, AutoCAD, ProjectWise, and/or GIS is advantageous. This role may involve travel.

Required Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • An Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in technical support for PCs, networks, and servers.
  • Proficient knowledge of personal computers and peripherals.
  • Experience in systems operations and maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of Windows 7/10/365 and Windows Server versions 2003/2008/2012.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong client service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivation with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision.
